Four generations of Italian furniture makers, hailing from the beautiful Como area of Italy, opened their doors this summer here in New York City. On August 2nd a crowd of designers and design aficionados turned out to celebrate the opening of this new store on Fulton Street in lower Manhattan.
From classical to contemporary designs, Turri has established themselves as a premiere luxury furniture company with an international clientele to boot. I personally enjoy the pieces suited for a luxury yacht and taking to the seas with a beautifully designed yacht, is the epitome of luxury design.
Turri NYC creates handcrafted furniture paying fine attention to detail while wielding old-world techniques passed down through the generations. The design community had the opportunity to inspect the pieces on the showroom floor, and to test out the smooth, quiet drawer glides, leather lining and other customize options showing hand cutting, sewing, carving, hand decoration and finishing. These features make classically designed furniture accessible to modern living.
